While traditional methods are effective, Future Health’s Data Protection Services are easy and secure. Your data will be backed up via the Internet and stored in a secure location.

2) Why do I need Data Backup Services? Many states are now making it mandatory for health care providers to backup their electronic patient files. It’s always a good idea to backup your data in the event of a systems failure, natural disaster or more common human error.

3) What are Future Health’s Data Protection offerings? Future Health offers Unmanaged Backup (Gold) and Complete Managed Backup (Platinum) Services. Although all services are through the Internet, Unmanaged Backup is controlled by the customer’s tech staff and the information is transferred from the clinic servers to Future Health’s back up servers. The more popular of the two services is Complete Managed Backup Services where the information is backed up automatically, locally with a provided external harddrive and to the Future Health servers without the aid of another staff person. As a follow-up, you will receive an email detailing the backup.

4) In the event of a disaster or systems’ failure, how soon will I get my data? Customers who use Unmanaged Backup (Gold) will need to rely on their staff person to retrieve the backup data and repopulate it back into the database. For Managed Backup (Platinum) Services, customers can call our Data Protection Services specialist and their data will be available within hours. For Managed Backup Services’ customers, we also offer Disaster Recovery Business Continuity Services.

5) How secure are my files? You can rest easy with Future Health’s Data Protection Services. Your files will be backed up with secure 256-bit blowfish encryption with public and private key management. FHI's remote backup solution and methodology is HIPPA and SOX compliant.
